Training Plans

CTC offers several training plans throughout the year targeting both triathlon season as well as off-season conditioning programs for beginners to seasoned triathletes.

Couch To Tri

Are you interested in doing a triathlon? Have you always wanted to “tri” but aren’t sure where to start? Come join us for this free 3 month training program starting in May. We will help you train in supported open water swims (OWS), cycling, and running, not to mention how to tackle the sneaky 4th sport of triathlon: transition! Our target races it the Chattahoochee Challenge Sprint Triathlon in July.

When: May – July

Days & Times: Tuesday & Thursday at 6:00pm, Saturdays at 7:30am

Speed Work

Looking for an opportunity to get faster? Join us for speedwork! Through structured track drills, you will not only improve your speed, but improve your form and your cardiovascular system, which will help with your overall performance.

When: Ongoing

Days & Times: Mondays at 6:00pm

Location: Track at Lakebottom Park or Hardaway Highschool (see weekly updates for information)

Trail Clinic

They say triathletes are made in the off season. One of the best off-season training opportunities is trail running. Trails are great to run for recovery as they force the body to use muscles differently than they are accustomed to in traditional training. You’ll walk, you’ll run, you may even see a deer or two! Enjoy the great out doors while conditioning your body for the coming tri-season!

When: January – March

Days & Times: Saturdays at 8:00am
